Eucalyptus honey is a very characterized honey with a hint of liquorice. It is a strong and aromatic honey that is highly appreciated for its therapeutic properties; It boasts a presence of eucalyptus pollen generally higher than 90% and therefore highly reflects the properties, aromas and flavors of the plant from which it derives.
Flavor The flavor of eucalyptus honey is not appreciated by everyone as it is very strong, but it has many admirers among the most refined palates. Reminiscent of liquorice and caramel, sometimes even slightly salty.
Origin The nectariferous source of honey is eucalyptus, mainly found in coastal areas with a mild climate.
Harvesting season There are two flowering periods of eucalyptus depending on the species: summer and autumn. The harvest season therefore occurs in June and at the end of August.
