    Bastianich Winery

The wine we drink has an intense history, it is part of a tradition with very deep roots and often travels across the entire world to arrive on our table. The Bastianich company, founded in 1997, consists of 27 hectares of vineyards. All the vineyards are located on the Colli Orientali del Friuli, in two distinct areas falling within the DOC area. The history of this land has deep roots. Viticulture in this region has been practiced since the 2nd century BC, with the advent of the Romans who were the first to plant vines. The millenary tradition, the particular clayey-marly soil called "ponca" and the numerous microclimates created by the winds of the Julian Alps and the proximity to the Adriatic Sea make the Colli Orientali del Friuli region one of the most suitable in Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is these unique characteristics that allow the wines of this DOC to be particularly elegant and mineral, with a strong character that fully communicates the terroir.
